The Sherwood Winter Festival ~ A Community Celebration
The Annual Sherwood Winter Festival was a wonderful community event that took place Saturday, December. 1. The generosity of local businesses and the City of Sherwood made the Winter Festival possible. We'd like to thank Safeway, Providence Sherwood, Symposium Coffee and Innovations in Management for providing refreshments and Schulz-Clearwater and Pride Disposal for donating services. Special thanks go to St. Paul Lutheran Church for annually creating and coordinating the Live Nativity scene. We appreciated the local community's contributions to the free kids' Santa bags. We also would like to thank all of our volunteers for the many hours of time invested into the Festival. The Winter Festival takes place the first Saturday of December every year.
Festival Featured on KPTV-12 Good Day Oregon, KUNP-TV Univision and The Weather Channel!
Thank you KPTV Fox 12's Good Day Oregon and the newly knighted Sir Joe on the Go for visiting the Realm of Sherwood! Witness Joe's fine archery skills and knighting ceremony. KUNP-TV Portland Univision also visited our Realm. The Sherwood Renaissance singers enjoyed serenading everyone in Spanish, and there was a special Spanish greeting from the Maid Marian Court! The Robin Hood Festival was also featured on The Weather Channel in a special feature on unique events nationwide, including ours!
