ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING 2021 SHERWOOD ROBIN HOOD FESTIVAL PLANS:
The Sherwood Robin Hood Festival Association’s main concern is the health and welfare or our community. We are hopeful that the COVID-19 virus pandemic situation will be resolved with the distribution of the vaccine and that we will be able to hold our annual Robin Hood Festival the third weekend of July 2021.
The Robin Hood Festival Association is actively pursuing and planning for a safe Robin Hood Festival that will allow our community to come together for some fun. We will be monitoring all state guidelines to be able to provide the festival as planned. We will make our decision on 5/15/2021 based on the state guidelines and directions at the time. If we cannot have the festival in July, we will continue to plan for the festival to be held the last week of September 9/24-25.
The Sherwood Robin Hood Festival Association will post on our website and social media on 5/15/2021 of our decision which week we will be having our festival. All sponsors, vendors, and contracted parties will be notified on 5/15/2021 if we will be pushing our festival to 9/24-25/2021.
We would like to thank the City of Sherwood, all our Sponsors, Vendors, and the people of Sherwood for your support. We are looking forward to the 2021 Sherwood Robin Hood Festival. In the meantime, please stay safe, healthy and maintain your social distancing for the safety of others.
Ron Groeger Jr, President of the Sherwood Robin Hood Festival Association

The historic and picturesque town of Sherwood, Oregon welcomes you to the realm of the Robin Hood Festival. One of the oldest and most unique community events in Oregon (est. 1954), our wondrous Festival and international archery tournament normally attract nearly 20,000 revelers of all ages each year in the summer.
With many fun activities both modern and medieval, the annual Summer Festival fills the streets of Old Town Sherwood the 3rd weekend of July every year (currently being planned to resume in 2021 after Covid-19 impacted our 2020 events - see updates under Latest News above), with the International Archery Tournament with Nottingham, England nearby (to resume in 2021). Our old-fashioned Summer Community Parade (to resume in 2021) winds its way through Sherwood annually, featuring Maid Marian and her Court, Robin Hood and his Merry Men and 70+ imaginative entries from far and wide, some competing for high honors.
There is always dancing in the streets (and many enjoying the beer & wine garden nearby), as well-known bands from the Pacific Northwest and featured entertainers take to our popular Main Stage. The Family Stage in the Renaissance Village specializes in wonderfully creative, interactive performers to delight young and old, a traditional Knighting Ceremony, medieval re-enactments, stunts, swordplay & fencing lessons, clowns, magicians, alchemists, comedians, improvisation, a petting zoo, a climbing wall, music & dance, and appearances by Maid Marian and her Court, Robin Hood and his Merry Men. Special surprises throughout the grounds of the Festival, occupying the streets of Sherwood Old Town and an enchanting historical park, make your Festival experience one people of all ages have enjoyed for multiple generations.
Thousands of Summer Festival visitors wander every year through the extensive Vendor Village consisting of more than 100 booths, with a wide variety of shopping and activities to explore. Vendor information for 2021 will be available by March 2021. Visit the Vendors Page for more information. Everyone enjoys performances by Sherwood's Voices for the Performing Arts in Cannery Square Park. Multiple contestants demonstrate their creativity every year in the annual Castle Building Contest. Festivities also include a teen dance, kids crafts and play areas, plus plenty of delicious food, with a beer/wine/cider garden featuring selections from local wineries and breweries. Festival admission is FREE, including all entertainment on the Main and Family Stages (excludes Voices for the Performing Arts performance, for which tickets must be purchased - vendors also charge fees for various activities).
